Russell Dietrick

Russell Dietrick, 93, of Anderson, died at Miller's Merry Manor in Chesterfield on Thursday, April 28, 2011 following an extended illness.
Russell was born in Blanchard, Michigan on April 25, 1918 to Charles and Lola (Swett) Dietrick.
He was a die setter and press operator for Newell Manufacturing for 10 years before retiring in 1983 and he was self employed as a carpenter .
He served in the US Army during WW II.
He was a member of VFW Post 266, and Carpenter's Union.
He is survived by his wife, M. Joyce (Foss) Dietrick of Anderson whom he married in Pinckney, MI on April 10, 1942, his 6 children: John (Connie) Dietrick of Six Lakes, MI; James (Chris) Dietrick of Pendleton, IN; Mary Roach of Pendleton, Rebecca Fish of Marne, MI; Elizabeth (Todd) Powell of Portland, Oregon and Martha Detrick of Forrest Grove, Oregon, sister-in-law: Marguerite Dietrick of Lake Wales, FL; 15 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Richard Dietrick.
Memorial services will be held at Madison Park Church of God on Monday, May 2, at 11:00 A.M. with Pastor Jim Lyon officiating.
Cremation was chosen.
