John D. Breedlove
October 10, 1921 - May 7, 2011

John D. Breedlove, 89, of Anderson died at St. John's Health System on Saturday, May 7, following an extended illness.

John was born in Mapleton, Kansas to Homer and Ruth M. (Hanford) Breedlove.

He worked as a salesman for Montgomery Ward for 25 years and for the US Postal Service for 17 years.
He was a member of the Fellowship F. & A. M. Lodge # 681 where he was a 32nd Degree Mason, Indianapolis Valley of the Scottish Rite; Craft 84 Union of the Postal Worker's Association.
He loved to fish, hunt morel mushrooms, play games, but his love for his family was never ending. He was filled with kindness, love and a great sense of humor.

He served in the US Army during WW II.

Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Doris O. (Eilenstein) Breedlove of Anderson whom he married April 6, 1946 in Anderson; his 3 children, Ronald D.(Martha)Breedlove, Linda (Robert J.) Werling, Sr. of Ft. Wayne, IN and Connie (Doug) Noble of Moran, MI; 9 grandchildren, Kelly (James) Harless, Holly (David) Plough, Robert J. Werling Jr. (fiancée Abigail Miley), Jamie (Josh) Brown, Amy (Matt) Morgan, Kenneth (Jeanette) Olinger, Merritt (David) Gilbert, Kevin (Megan) Noble and Mackenzie Noble; 6 great grandchildren Emily Harless, Ashley Harless, Leah Morgan, Timothy Morgan, Ivy Plough, Everett Noble, several nephews and nieces and several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Claude Breedlove.

Services will be on Thursday, May 12, 2011 at 1:00 P.M. at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service with his grandson, Matthew Morgan of Peoria, IL officiating. Entombment will be at Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery Mausoleum with military rites conducted by the VFW Post 266 Honor Guard. Friends may call Wednesday, May 11 from 4-7 P.M. with memorial services conducted by Fellowship Masonic Lodge # 681 at 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home following visitation.
Memorial contributions may be given to St. John's Home Health Care & Hospice.
