Obituary

Robert B. Hubbell a Wellesley resident for over 50 years, died Monday May 24, at the North East Specialty Hospital in Natick. He was 85 years old. Mr. Hubbell attended AIC for 2 years. He served in the U.S. Air Force during World War II. Mr. Hubbell was a bank examiner in the Boston area for over 30 years. He enjoyed building model planes and planes in his spare time. Mr. Hubbell was an avid fly fisherman and was a member of the Needham Sportsman Club. The beloved husband for 60 years to Bernice “Bunny” (Hogan) Hubbell. He was the loving father of Dr. David B. Hubbell of Gilfoy CA and Janice Anderson of Ormond Beach FL. He brother of Cynthia Hubbell of Medway and Richard Hubbell of Uncasville CT, he also leaves his grandchildren Cory, Amber, Ross and Randy. A memorial service will be held in the Burtt Chapel at the Wellesley Congregational (Village) Church 2 Central Street Wellesley on Wednesday June 9 at 10:00 AM. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Interment services at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne will be private. In lieu of flowers memorials in Bob’s memory may be made to the American Heart Association 20 Speen Street Framingham MA 01701.
