Anna Marie Silva, 42, of New Bedford died March 29, 2001 at St. Luke's Hospital, surrounded by her loving family, after a brief illness.
She was the longtime companion of Daniel DeBarros, and daughter of Alfredo B. "Freddie" and Maria (Livramento) Silva, all of New Bedford.
Miss Silva was born in New Bedford and had lived in New Bedford for all of her life. She was a graduate of Friends Academy, Holy Family High School and Kinyon-Campbell Business School.
She was a communicant of St. Lawrence Church.
Miss Silva was employed as a teller with Fleet Bank at the Faunce Corner Road office in Dartmouth for 20 years until this January.
Survivors include her longtime companion; her parents; a son, Jordan DeBarros of New Bedford; a brother, Alfredo B. "Sonny" Silva, Jr., of New Bedford; 9 sisters, Sandra Gonsalves of Mitchellville, MD, Shirley Paige of Merrimack, NH, Beverly Gresham of Upper Marlboro, MD, Melissa Silva of Clinton, MD, and Elaine Costa, Yvonne Houtman, Peggy Dias, Diane Tavares and Toni Silva, all of New Bedford; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Her Funeral Mass was celebrated on Saturday, March 31st 2001, at 9 AM in St. Lawrence Church. Burial followed in St. John's Cemetery.
