James A. Martin
January 20, 1940 - July 26, 2011

James A. Martin, age 71, of Anderson went home to be with his Lord July 26, 2011 at St. John's Hospital following an extended illness.

James was born January 20, 1940 in Louisville, Kentucky. He graduated in 1958 from Anderson High School and served in the US Navy.

He worked in the maintenance department of Delco Remy for 43 years before retiring in 2005.

He was a member of the American Legion and VFW Post 266.

He loved fishing and spending time with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Claudine (Goodman) Martin of Anderson whom he married May 15, 1960 in Anderson, his son Bradley Scott Martin, 2 daughters, Pamela Annette (Dymon) Farrer of Goshen, IN and Kristina Lee Martin of Ft. Wayne, IN, sister, Rogeania (John) Stupples of Marion, IN; 5 grandchildren Dalton Farrer, Devon Farrer, Ashley Martin, Lee Welker and Desiree Welker; several nieces & nephews and several cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents Charles W. & Margaret Sarah (Dietzen) Martin, sister Patricia Martin, brother Charles Martin and a granddaughter Destiny Welker.

Services will be held on Saturday, July 30 at 1:00 P.M. at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service with Rev. David Warren officiating. Burial will be in Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery with military graveside rites by VFW Post 266 Honor Guard. Friends may call on Saturday from 11 AM until the funeral at 1:00 P.M.
