Johnnie Ray Coop, Sr., 59 of Anderson, died at St. John's Hospital in Anderson after an extended illness.
Johnnie was born September 13, 1951 in Muncie, Indiana to Welby and Estelle (Neal) Coop.
He was a retired Journeyman Tool Maker for 30 years and CNA/QMA for 4 years.
He loved to play and build steel guitars.
He is survived by his son, Johnnie (Stephanie) Coop, Jr. of Muncie, IN; 2 brothers: Leslie (Connie) Coop of Jeffersonville, IN and Terry Coop of Muncie; 2 grandchildren: Preston Coop and Hayden Coop both of Muncie; aunts & uncles: Frank (Myrna) Neal of Daleville; Nellie (Kirby) Garrett of Muncie, Ralph (Doris) Neal of Knoxville, TN; Harris Matheney of Byrdstown, TN; several cousins, 1 niece, 2 nephews, and special friend, Nora Powell of Yorktown, IN.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A private burial will take place in Vans Branch Cemetery in Byrdstown, TN by Brown's Funeral Chapel.
