Obituary

Goffstown– Gerard “Gerry” A. Descoteaux, 74, died September 4, 2012 at the Catholic Medical Center following a brief illness.
He was born in Manchester on June 4, 1938 the son of Gerard H. and Albanie (Doyon) Descoteaux.
He attended local schools.
He served his country in the U. S. Army.
He retired as a route supervisor with J.J. Nissen Co. after 30 years of service. He held membership in the Pinardville Lions Club and was a past parishioner of St. Joseph Cathedral and St. Pius X Church.
Members of his family include his wife of 55 years Constance (Boufford) Descoteaux of Goffstown, five daughters; Mrs. Joseph (Denise) Stasz of Goffstown, Mrs. Judson (Ann) Jordan of Pembroke, Mrs. Neil (Linda) Danson of Manchester, Mrs. Edward (Janet) Evans of Worlington Bury St. Edmund’s, England, Mrs. Matthew (Judith) Barrett of Goffstown, several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, one sister, Pauline Deedrick of FL., several nieces and nephews.
Services: Calling hours will be Friday from 7 to 9 PM at the J.N. Boufford & Sons Funeral Home, 110 Bridge St., A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Saturday at 10 AM in St. Pius X Church, Candia Rd. Burial will be on Tuesday at 1 PM in NH Veterans Cemetery, Boscawen.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 2 Commerce Dr., Suite 110, Bedford, NH 03110, or to Breathe N.H., 145 Hollis St., Unit C, Manchester, NH 03101.
