Millicent M. “Millie” Saunderson, 95, of Derry, NH died peacefully on Monday September 3, 2012 at her home. She was born on August 16, 1917 in Irene, SD, a daughter of the late Chris and Nina (Sorensen) Jensen. Mrs. Saunderson was a Music Teacher at St. Joseph’s Regional School in Salem, NH for 17 years. She was a member of the Philanthropic Educational Organization. Millie was active in the Londonderry Senior Center and the Londonderry United Methodist Church. She was also an avid pianist who passed on her love of music to her grandchildren and great grandchildren, giving many of them piano lessons.
She is survived by two daughters, Christine Haswell and her husband William of Derry, Cynthia Morelli of London, England, one son, George Saunderson and his wife Ann of Loudon, NH, five grandchildren, nine great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Jason L. Saunderson in 2009.
Following cremation, a memorial service to celebrate Millie’s life was held on Saturday September 8, 2012 at 4:00pm in the Londonderry United Methodist Church, Corner of Pillsbury and Mammoth Road, Londonderry.
