Ruby (Melton) Hurley

Ruby (Melton) Hurley, age 85, of Anderson died at St. John's Hospital in Anderson following a brief illness.
Ruby was born on August 10, 1926 in Hackett, Arkansas. She was one of 10 children born to Charlie & Mae (Thrasher) Melton.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Church of Christ.
She is survived by her 3 children: Judy Payne of Indianapolis; Jerry (Lester) Williams of Anderson and John R. (Sharon) Williams of Pendleton, IN her siblings Bonnie Shipley, Christine Brown, Tommie Adams, Elizabeth Richardson, Helen Ledbetter, James Melton and Sue Cravens and several grandchildren and great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Billy Melton and sister Regina Melton and 2 grandchildren Troy Robbins and Vern Dzerve.
Services will be held on Thursday, October 6, 2011 at 1:30 P.M. at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service with Jim Harrison officiating.
Burial will be in Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call from 4-8 PM on Wednesday at the funeral home.
