Corinne Elizabeth (Curtis) Brinduse, 94, of Anderson died on October 26, 2011 at Morrison Woods Heath Campus in Muncie following an extended illness.
She was born on December 31, 1916 in Bellevue, Kentucky to Jonas Hardin and Estelle (Stratton) Curtis.
She was primarily a homemaker and during World War II she worked at Guide Lamp for 8 years.
She was a member of First Baptist Church in Anderson and a former member of the Estoy Club. She was extremely devoted to her church and family. During her husband, John Brinduse's, illness she was his primary caretaker.
She is survived by 2 sons, Timothy Alan (wife, Jill Alcorn) of Dansville, New York is a registered architect, and John Steven Brinduse of Albuquerque, New Mexico is a registered nurse. Both of her son's take great joy in musical performance. 2 grandchildren, Shaun (wife, Amber) Shiel of Gallup, NM and Tara Brinduse (husband, Mario Pardo-Friedman) of Albuquerque, NM; 1 great-grandduaghter, Anya Pardo-Friedman of Albuquerque, NM; 4 brothers, Charles (wife, Roberta) Curtis of San Diego, CA, Harold (wife, Jean) Gale of New Jersey, Earl Gale of Lake Havasu City, AZ, and William (Elizabeth) Gale of Anderson; Sister, Nancy (husband, Larry) Mechem of Noblesville; Brother-in-law, Dan (wife, Ruth) Brinduse of Anderson; Sister-in-law, Mary (husband, Bob) Bridgewater of Anderson; and Several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, John Brinduse in 2004, and a sister, Melva Murphy.
The funeral service will be on Saturday, October 29, 2011 at 12 Noon at the First Baptist Church in Anderson with Pastor Ella Louise Peyton officiating. The burial will take place in East Maplewood Cemetery.
The visitation will be on Saturday, October 29, 2011 from 10:00am-12 Noon at the church.
Memorial Contributions may be given to the First Baptist Church in Anderson or The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
