Dallas Edgar Hardacre
December 1, 1928 - October 31, 2011

Dallas Edgar Hardacre, age 82 of Anderson died October 31, 2011 at his home.

He was born December 1, 1928 in Anderson, Indiana, the son of Lloyd and Lavona (Scott) Hardacre, where he lived his entire life. He graduated from Anderson High School and Purdue University.

He worked in the family business, Best Ever Dairy, his entire life as Quality Control, Plant Manager and Vice President.

In 1967, he was involved in the only quinine operation in the western hemisphere in La Paz, Bolivia. In 1968, he helped start the only dairy processing plant that produced pasteurized milk in Santa Cruz, Bolivia.

Survivors are his daughter, Jacqueline Meiring, Atlanta, GA, son Curtis Edgar (Laura) Hardacre of Columbus, OH; son Lee Lloyd Hardacre of Anderson, brother Roger Ellis (Joy L.) Hardacre; grandsons Christopher (Katrina) Hardacre and Clint (Alicia)Hardacre, Jason (Sarah Prichard) Ellis; Joseph Ellis, five great grandchildren: Alexis, Ashley, Logan, Reagan and Anthony and several nieces.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Joy T. (Powell) Hardacre whom he married June 16, 1949 died in 2010.

Services will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Friday, November 4, 2011 at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service, 229 S. Rangeline Road, Anderson with Rev. officiating. Burial will take place at Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call from 5-8 P.M. Thursday at the funeral home.
