Kathryn D. (Gooding-Cole) Coffman, age 47, died at her parent's residence on November 27, following an inspirational and courageous 2 year battle with cancer..
Kathryn was born in Anderson on August 5, 1964 to Richard & Betty (Wooldridge) Gooding.
She grew up in Anderson and received a B.A. degree in nursing and was a nurse for 12 years for Anthem/Wellpoint Insurance Company.
She was a very active member of Southdale Church of the Nazarene where she taught Sunday School.
Her greatest love was spending time with her family. She enjoyed camping and traveling. She was very involved in her children's activities.
She is survived by her husband Michael Coffman of Anderson whom she married December 11, 2010 in Laguna Beach, California; her parents Richard & Betty Gooding of Anderson, a daughter Megan Cole and a son Taylor Cole both of Anderson their father Clifford D. Cole of Anderson, 2 brothers Rick Gooding of Anderson Roger (Wendy) Gooding of Anderson and her sister, Becky Gooding (Walt Morrill) of South Tamworth, NH; 2 nieces Brynn Gooding and Laurynn Gooding of Anderson, a mother-in-law Carol Coffman of Whittier, CA; 3 brothers-in-law: James (Peggy) Coffman; Jeff Coffman all of CA; and Bill Coffman of WA; 1 sister-in-law Vicki Coffman of CA and several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends including her best friend Kelly Tumulty of Anderson.
Services will be held on Thursday, December 1, at 11 A.M. at Southdale Church of the Nazarene with Rev. Alvin Dayton and Rev. Brad Buhro officiating burial will be in East Maplewood Cemetery. Friends may call on Wednesday, November 30 from 4-8 P.M. at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service and on Thursday 1 hour prior to the service at the church.
