Obituary

Steven F. Pepin, 60, of Methuen, died unexpectedly Saturday, September 1, 2012 at Holy Family Hospital in Methuen.
Steve, the son of the late Ernest L. and Rita J. (Mailhot) Pepin, was born in Georgetown on September 3, 1951 and lived in Methuen.   He graduated from Georgetown High School and following graduation, enlisted in the United States Air Force, serving our country honorably during the Vietnam War.  He worked as an Electronics Technician for the AGFA Co. in Wilmington for 26 years.  Steve retired in 2004 and devoted his life to taking care of his home, helping family and friends with any projects or need.
On July 1, 1992, Steve married his best friend and the love of his life, Huguette M. (Nault) Pepin.  Together they celebrated twenty wonderful years of marriage.  Steve and Huguette often felt that they had rescued each other, sharing a bond of love and commitment so rarely seen today. He and Huguette worked hard to purchase their home together and Steve’s happiest times were spent doing home improvement, daily chores and activities making the home a warm and enjoyable place.
Since he was a young boy, Steve enjoyed the outdoors, had a great love of music, and the special gift of artistic ability.  During his time in high school, he was a drummer and singer for the band Euphoria.  He expressed his great imagination and conveyed that in the many drawings, videos, musical and photo collections, projects and crafts that he created throughout his life.  He loved hiking in the White Mountains and spent many years hiking the trails of the Presidential Range with friends and family.  He enjoyed playing computer games and working on many projects with his brother-in-law, Bert.  Steve brightened the lives of those closest to him. To those who knew him, his loss is immeasurable and he will be sadly missed.
In addition to his beloved wife Huguette, Steve will be missed by his step-daughter, Diane L. Malenfant Pepin of Ohio; three brothers, Timothy Pepin and Nancy of New Smyrna Beach, FL, Hank Pepin and Pat of Amesbury, MA and Ron Pepin and Diane of Sheffield Village, Ohio; one sister, Jeanne Comeau of Salem, NH; his mother-in-law, Eveline Nault and her husband Roger Tardiff of Methuen, MA;  aunts, Gertrude Routhier, and Dorothy St Hillaire of Lawrence; Uncle Paul Mailhot of Florida; his best friend and  brother-in-law, Bert Nault of Derry, New Hampshire and many cousins, nieces and nephews including Michael S. Pepin of Cleveland, Ohio.
