Bemvinda “Betty” (Costa) Pelland, age 79, of Fall River died peacefully with her loving devoted husband William “Bill” Pelland of 57 years by her side on September 3, 2012. She was the daughter of the late Joseph and Maria Costa. Betty had worked at the Morton Middle School cafeteria.
Betty was the mother of Doreen and Janet Pelland; grandmother of Michael and Colin and Kailey Pelland; sister of Mary Vieira and the late William, Louis and Frank Costa, Rose Tilghman and Odelia Cabral. She also leaves several nieces and nephews and her extended family: Maria Mitchell, Joe Furtado and Edward Darling.
Her funeral will take place from the Manuel Rogers & Sons Funeral Home, Inc. 1521 N. Main St., Fall River Wednesday with calling hours from 10 to 11:30 A.M. with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Joseph Church at 12 P.M. Interment in Notre Dame Cemetery. www.rogersfuneral.com
