Carol N. (Pelletier) Desell, 80, of Derry, NH died Friday, Aug. 31st at Colonial Poplin Nursing Home in Fremont, NH.
Carol was born in Plainville, CT the daughter of the late Rosina (Denault) and Joseph Pelletier. She grew up in Lowell, MA, later moving to Dracut, MA where she lived for many years. She was employed for 25 years at Western Electric later becoming AT & T in North Andover where she was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America and the Strummers. Carol and her husband dressed up as clowns, entertaining children in hospitals and nursing home residents. After retiring, she moved to Derry and 2 years ago moved in with her daughter and son-in-law, during her courageous battle against cancer. Carol enjoyed arts and crafts, knitting and crocheting and she was a big fan of Elvis Presley.
She was predeceased by her husband Charles Desell.
Carol is survived by her daughter Denise and her husband John O’Connor of Derry, NH; two grandchildren, Jim Murray and Heather Stannard; her great granddaughter, Evelyn Rose Murray and several nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, September 5th at 9:30AM at St. Matthew Parish in Windham, NH. Burial is in Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Lawrence, MA.
