Obituary

Roy W. Gallant, 89, of Hampstead, NH died Sunday May 23, 2004 in the Parkland Medical Center, Derry, NH. He was born in Minneapolis, MN on March 13, 1915, a son of the late Moses and Ada (Kiely) Gallant. He had been a resident of Hampstead for the past 30 years, formerly living in Medford, MA. Mr. Gallant was a US Army veteran of WWII and a member of the VFW Post #1088 in Kingston, NH. He was a beloved husband, a proud grandfather and was also an avid gardener.

He is survived by his wife, Ann (MacDougall) Gallant of Hampstead, one son, Rendle Gallant and his wife Barbara of Hampstead, one grandson, Josh Gallant of Hampstead, two brothers, Ivan Gallant of Hampstead, Everett Gallant of Prince Edward Island, Canada, one sister, Ruth Gallant of Brantford, Ontario, Canada, also several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers, Howard, Rustin, Rendle and by his sister, Doris Crump.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Friday May 28th at 11:30am in St. Anne’s Parish, 26 Emerson Ave., Hampstead. Burial will be in the Lakeview Cemetery in Hampstead. Friends may call on Thursday from 5 - 8pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry.
