CHELMSFORD—Michael W. Harrington, 57 years old, died Saturday afternoon at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital, in Boston, after a long battle with leukemia. He was the husband of Sheila A. (Higgins) Harrington, of Chelmsford.
He was born in Framingham, on July 28, 1945, a son of Virginia (Gray) (Harrington) Eck, of Wakefield, and the late William D. Harrington. He attended Framingham and Quakertown, PA School Systems.
Mr. Harrington was employed as a Maintenance worker by the Hawthorne Suites, in Chelmsford, and Chelmsford Housing Authority. He was an avid outdoorsman and held membership in the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association.
Surviving him besides his wife and mother are four children: Mary Harrington, of Falmouth; David Harrington, of Shillington, PA; Christopher Harrington, of West Lawn, PA; and Michelle George, of Quakertown, PA; five grandchildren: Devin, Daniel, Ryan and Kieran Harrington, and Kellen Brogan; two sisters: Patricia E. Wheeler and Kathleen Harrington, both of Wakefield; two brothers: Peter Harrington, of Quakertown, PA; and Joseph Harrington, of Wakefield; also many nieces and nephews.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 PM on Monday, May 24th, at the MAHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 187 Nesmith Street. (Rte. 38). His Funeral Mass to be offered Tuesday, May 25th, at 10:30 AM at the IMMACULATE CONCEPTION CHURCH. Burial in Pine Ridge Cemetery, Chelmsford.
