Linda Lou Castor
April 26, 1948- April 9, 2012


Suddenly, late on the evening of April 9, 2012, Linda Lou Castor went to be with the Lord she loved.

Born April 26, 1948 to Carol and Carroll Castor in Anderson, Indiana and adopted by her aunt and uncle, Jack and Madge Castor in June of 1949, the family moved to North Manchester, Indiana in 1954 and returned to Anderson in 1955 where Linda started school. She attended Lindberg elementary and later Chesterfield Elementary through grade 6. She attended Highland High School, where she joined the "Marching Highlanders" playing tenor sax in several Indiana State Fair Marching Band competitions and performing in the Indianapolis 500 parade. She graduated with the class of 1966 and took a job at the Indiana School for the Deaf. She would later attend the Grand Rapids School of the Bible and Music and Tennessee Temple College in Chattanooga, Tennessee and tour with the Spurlows, a gospel choir which toured throughout the United States.

She returned to Anderson where she has lived since 1979. She worked in various positions in the restaurant industry working at Bob Evans for 12 years and at Cracker Barrel for the past 15 years. Linda loved music, playing various instruments and was a talented amateur artist. She faithfully attended the Belmont Bible Church until its closing in 1976 and most recently worshiped at the Calvary Baptist Church in Anderson. She was very involved with L.I.F.E. @ Lambert's Music Center.

Linda was preceded in death by her father, Jack Castor and her grandparents Leland and Stella Webber and Ovel and Mildred Castor.
She is survived by her mother Madge (Webber) Castor; her sister Nancy Garrett of Myrtle Beach, SC; three brothers David Castor of Vevay, IN; Tom (Lee) Castor of Winnipeg, Manitoba; and Dan (Danita) Castor of Greenwood, IN and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Services will be Friday at 1:30 P.M. at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service with Pastor James Proctor of Calvary Baptist Church officiating.
Burial will be in Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery.

The visitation will be on Thursday from 4 to 7pm at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be given to Calvary Baptist Church.
