Shirley K. Black, age 77, of Middletown, died at Miller's Merry Manor in Chesterfield, IN.
She was born in Anderson, IN August 2, 1934 to Marjorie (Shearer) Brown and Joseph D. Mock.
She was a cashier at Daleville 76 station for 30 years. She was a member of Elm Grove Christian Church and American Legion Post 408 Auxiliary. She was an avid euchre player and enjoyed playing Bingo.
She is survived by her 3 children: Sue Ann (Richard) Gross of Daleville; David (Glenda) Emswiller of Chesterfield; Vicky Nixon of Anderson 2 stepchildren: Tim (Becky) Black of Pendleton and Paul Edward (Cheryl) Black Jr. of Anderson; her sister Beverly Hudson of Anderson; 7 grandchildren; Scott J. Emswiller; Jennifer D. Wehrle; Richard Anderson; Daniel Anderson; Deanna Anderson; David Emswiller, II; Merenda Finley; several great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews
She was preceded in death by her husband Paul E. Black, Sr.; her brother Robert Schelton; her daughter Carol (Emswiller) Anderson; her father Joseph D. Mock and her mother Marjorie Brown.
Services will be Friday, June 15 at 1:00 P.M. at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service with Pastor Mike Whiteman of Elm Grove Christian Church officiating. Burial will be in Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery.
The visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
