Naomi R. (Graham) Sutton, 79 of Anderson died at St. John's Health System on June 18, 2012 after a sudden illness.
Naomi was born on February 5, 1933 in Pendleton, IN to Hallie Graham, Sr. and Gladys (Vorhees) Graham.
She worked in the Finance Department of Fort Benjamin Harrison for 20 years before retiring in 1987.
She was a member of First Baptist Church in Alexandria; American Legion Auxiliary Post 408; Femmes of the Forty and Eight; V.F.W. and the Red Hat Society in Pendleton.
She was very, very active & on the go all the time. She cooked, baked and helped out whenever and wherever she was needed.
She is survived by her 2 daughters Cynthia S. Burton of Anderson and Karen F. Currey of Alexandria, IN; brother Donald (Shirley) Graham of Ft. Wayne and a sister Laura Zion of Washington; 4 grandchildren Gayla (David) Ables; Dawn (Danny) Backous; Todd (fiancée Cheri) Hallgarth; Erika Robbins; 6 great grandchildren Christopher Moore, Savannah (Brock) Cooper; Steven (fiancée Crystal) Backous; Billy Backous; Caitlyn Robbins and Noah Robbins; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Hobart J. Sutton, Jr. whom she married August 16, 1965 in Chesterfield preceded her in death on December 4, 1999; brother Hallie Graham, Jr.; 4 sisters Donna Williams; Jeanie Parker; Emma Landis; Wanda Graham and her son-in-law Steven Burton; 2 great grandchildren Jesse Backous and Summer Backous.
Services will be Thursday, June 21 at 11 AM at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service with Rev. Michael Deutsch of Alexandria First Baptist Church officiating.
Burial will be in Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery.
The visitation will be 1 hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be given to the charity of the donor's choice.
