Dorothy Deese Sorrells, 81, of Enigma died Thursday, August 30, 2012, at Tift Regional Medical Center. Graveside funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 6, 2012, in Enigma Cemetery. Rev. Terrell Roberts will officiate with burial to follow. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, September 5, 2012, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Mrs. Sorrells was born on October 24, 1930 in Marianna, Florida and was the daughters of Bascomb Deese and Addie Christmas Deese, both deceased. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Bill Sorrells; one son, Melvin Clark; four brothers; and four sisters. She was retired from home healthcare.
Mrs. Sorrells is survived by three sons, Eugene Clark of Lakeland, Florida, Henry Alvin Couch of Old Town, Florida and Charles Joseph Cox of Houston, Texas; one daughter, Lorene Bell of Tifton; eleven grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
