Jeanette (Collins) Daffron, 87, of Anderson died Aug. 28, 2012, at Saint John’s Medical Center following a brief illness. Jeanette was born March 22, 1925, in Berea, Ky., to Cicero and Mary (Bryant) Collins. She married Lester L. Daffron on June 14, 1947. She was a homemaker. She was a longtime member of Anderson Moose Lodge 150 and the Grandview Women’s Golf League.
She is survived by her son, Dennis (Brenda) Daffron of Anderson; granddaughter, Michele (Shawn) Frogge; two step-grandchildren, Michele Ramirez and Megan
Carrillo; three great-grandchildren; five siblings, Glenn (Nancy) Collins of Indianapolis, “Curly” (“Mick”) Wampler of Fairland, Betty (Walter) Stricker of Westfield, Robert (Carolyn) Collins of Indianapolis, and Donald (Janet) Collins
of Indianapolis; and a sister-in-law, Mary Ann Collins of Indianapolis.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Lester Daffron; two sisters, Eva Fritsch and Ruby Turner; and a brother, Cicero Collins Jr.
Services will be at 6 p.m. Friday at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service with Pastor Kent Stookey officiating. Entombment will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Garden at a later date. Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
