Dionne Miller Baggett, 73, of Cunningham, TN, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, August 28, 2012 at Gateway Medical Center. She was born on November 8, 1938 in Dickson, Tennessee to the late Eldon Miller and Lela Blackwell Miller. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Eldon Miller, Jr. and sister, Beatrice Miller Bryant.
Funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 1, 2012 at 1 p.m. at Hilldale Church of Christ with Brother Roy Goodmiller officiating. Burial will be in Marion United Methodist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday, August 31, 2012 from 1-7 p.m. at Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Funeral Home and Saturday, September 1, 2012 from 11 a.m. until the hour of service at the church.
Dionne was a retired administrative assistant at AmSouth Bank. She was a member and elder's wife at Shiloh Church of Christ. She was the 1956 Valedictorian of Charlotte High School where she also played basketball. Dionne was a member of the Queen City Doll Club, AARP, and a supporter of numerous charitable organizations. Above all she was a devoted wife, loving mother, and precious Grammy.
She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Phillip Baggett of Cunningham, TN; two daughters, Kim (Brian) Taylor of Cunningham, TN and Kaye (Keith) Hunter of Clarksville, TN; brother, James Marvin (Linda) Miller of Palmyra, TN; three grandchildren, Bradley (Amanda) Taylor, Kyle Taylor, and Kayla Dionne Hunter; and great grandchild, Timothy Taylor.
Pallbearers will be Jimmy Miller, Paul Miller, Russ McClain, Josh Nicholson, Jason McClain, Ricky Goodwin, Alan Dabalos, and Steve Nicholson. Honorary pallbearers will be Bobby Goodwin, Buddy Russell, Bobby Welker, Donnie Harrison, Harold Ray Baggett, and Henry McCullough.
