Ronald F. Sedlak 79, of Franklin, died Friday August 24, 2012 at Rhode Island Hospital from injuries he received from an automobile accident in early August. He was the beloved husband of Virginia (Cappucci) Sedlak.
Born September 9, 1932, in Binghamton, New York a son of the late John and Serasina (Petras) Sedlak he was a resident of Franklin for over 50 years and was a former resident of New York.
Mr. Sedlak was raised and educated in New York and until his retirement, he worked at the former Medfield State Hospital as a mechanic for over 25 years.
He served in the United States Army during the Korean War and was honorably discharged in February 1953.
He enjoyed antique cars and was a member of the Medway WFW.
In addition to his wife of 60 years, he is survived by a brother John Sedlak of New York.
He is the brother of the late Josephine Carmon, Miriam Kovs, Stasia Milchock and Milton Sedlak.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral service Thursday Aug. 30th, at 11:30AM in the Charles F. Oteri & Son Franklin Funeral Home 33 Cottage St. Franklin, www.oterifuneralhome.com.
Interment with military honors will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery.
