Toni J. (Chimbur) Derouen, age 50, of Brockton, died August 24, 2012 at Brigham and Women’s Hospital following a brief illness. She was the loving wife of David P. Derouen. Born in Brockton, she was the daughter of the late John and June E. (Landry) Chimbur. Toni was educated in Brockton and received her Associates degree from Massasoit Community College. At the time of her death, she was employed by Premiere Diagnostics of Avon and had previously worked for Doctor’s Management Services in Easton. Toni enjoyed working in her flower garden, time spent at her pool, dancing and motorcycle rides. Known for her feisty personality, she was also known as a loving caregiver who was always there for others.
In addition to her husband David, she is survived by a daughter Jennifer Johnson and Kevin Hatfield of Pembroke, a son Aaron Derouen and Jamie Liddell and Jamie’s daughter Caitlin of Sagamore Beach; a grandson Aaron S. Derouen; two sisters Patricia A. Cantelli of Deltona, FL and June Martin of Brockton and a brother Wayne A. Chimbur of Brockton. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins. Toni was the sister of the late John M. Chimbur.
Visiting Hours will be held in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton Wednesday 4-7pm followed by a prayer service at 7pm.
