Obituary

Norma (Chase) Milligan Houghton, 90, passed away on Tuesday August 21 at Milford Regional Medical Center. She was the wife of the late Robert Milligan and the late Raymond Houghton.
Born in Bellingham, November 10, 1921, the daughter of the late Harry and Zella (Whiting) Chase, Norma was raised and had lived in Medway for most of her life. She was a 1940 graduate of Medway High School.
She had studied at the Milford Conservatory of Music and later taught private piano lessons. During the 1940’s she served as a member of the P. T. A., the Child Study Group and was President of the Medway Women’s Club. She was a Past Noble Grand of the Rosalie Rebekah Lodge serving on the State Board of the Rebekahs, as well as Past President of the Past Noble Grand Association.
Norma was also a member of the Ladies Encampment Auxiliary and a member of the International Order of King’s Daughters and Sons. Norma was active in craft classes at Medway Friends of Elders and was also an active member of the Christ Episcopal Church in Medway. She enjoyed spending time with her friends, playing Bingo and watching the Boston Red Sox.
She is survived by her son David Milligan and his wife Susan of Norfolk and Boynton Beach, Florida, daughters Marian Kennedy of Bellingham , Jane Milligan and her husband Chet Latin of Milford, CT., and the late Anne Mahan. She is also survived by her son-in-law Joseph Mahan of Medway.
She was the sister of the late Russell and Stanley Chase of Bellingham.
She also leaves behind nine grandchildren, Michael Kennedy, Robert Kennedy, Colleen Kennedy DelMonaco, Tim Milligan, Kate Milligan, Thomas Pepin, Andrew Mahan,Steven Mahan and Mathew Mahan as well as 13 great-grandchildren.
She was loved by all and will be dearly missed.
Her funeral service will be held on Friday August 24 in Christ Episcopal Church, Medway at 1:00p.m.
Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Medway.
