Jennie C. (Cabral) Spinola, 79, of New Bedford died Monday August 20, 2012 at St. Luke's Hospital after a brief illness.
Born in New Bedford, the daughter of the late Manuel and Jennie (Riley) Cabral, she lived in New Bedford for most of her life.
She was a parishioner of Our Lady of the Assumption Church, where she was a member of the St. Martin dePorres Guild.
Mrs. Spinola was formerly employed as an inhalation therapist at St. Luke's Hospital until her retirement.
Survivors include her five children, Debra Boboruzian and Michelle Turner, both of Plymouth, Roberta DePina of Dartmouth, and Susan Evora and Mark Spinola, both of New Bedford; two brothers, Lawrence Cabral of Dartmouth and Joseph Cabral of Florida; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
She was the mother of the late Robert Spinola, and sister of the late Andrew Riley, Manuel Cabral, Catherine Andrews, and Priscilla Cabral.
Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday at 9 AM at Our Lady of the Assumption Church. Burial will be private. Visiting hours will be on Thursday from 4-8 PM at the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford.
