NATICK: Donna C. (Buswick) Murphy, 76, died peacefully in the comfort of her family at the Metrowest Medical Center in Framingham, on August 17, 2012, following a brief illness.
She was born in Fitchburg on March 30, 1936 the daughter of the late Edward W. Buswick and Virginia (Harris) Buswick.
Donna was the beloved and devoted wife for 42 years of General Grant Murphy of Natick. She is also survived by her brother Edward “Ted” Buswick and his wife Judy of Chelmsford, nephew Geoffrey Buswick and his wife Elizabeth of Boxford, niece Katherine McCampbell and her husband Alexander of Andover and her beloved dog Trixie Lee.
Donna spent her formative years in Taunton and was a graduate of Taunton High School and Newbury Junior College. She had a long and distinguished career as a television producer beginning with WHDH and retired from WSBK in Boston. She enjoyed reading, reality programs on tv and her many trips to Disneyworld which she and her husband were especially fond of. She cherished the times spent with family and friends and will be greatly missed by all of the lives that she touched.
Visitations will be held on Tuesday, August 21, 2012 from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at the John C. Bryant Funeral Home, 56 Pemberton Rd (Off Route 30), Wayland.
Funeral services and interment will be private for her family.
In lieu of flowers, her family suggests gifts in Donna’s memory may be sent to the Animal Rescue League of Boston, 101 Chandler Street, Boston, MA 02116 and would be greatly appreciated.
