Obituary

WORCESTER-Raymond J. George, 84, formerly of 16 Abbott Street, died Tuesday, February 26th in Sunbridge of Millbury Nursing Home. His wife of 45 years Nancy B. (Martunas) George died in 1996. He leaves two daughters Debra A. Porter of Shrewsbury and Cynthia A. Cutler of Worcester; a sister Kathryn Granger of Leicester; a grandson, Daniel M. Roy of Shrewsbury and several nephews and nieces.

He was born in Worcester, the son of Peter and Alice (Donahoe) George. Mr. George had been a machine operator at New England Envelope for many years. He was an Army veteran of World War II and a member of Blessed Sacrament Church.

The funeral will be Friday, March 1st from O’Connor Brothers Funeral Home, 592 Park Ave. with a Mass at 10:00 AM in Blessed Sacrament Church, 555 Pleasant Street. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling hours are Thursday, February 28th from 5:00 until 8:00 PM in the funeral home.
