Mrs. Helen I. (Daly) Begley, 93, of Lawrence, formerly of Haverhill, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 16th, 2012 surrounded by her loving family.
She was born on March 24th, 1919 in Haverhill to the late William and Ellen (McSweeney) Daly. Helen was educated in the local schools of Haverhill and was a graduate of Haverhill High School class of 1937. She later moved to Lawrence and was a parishioner of Saint Mary's Church in Lawrence, MA.
She worked for the Delaware Valley Company as a Quality Inspector for some 20 plus years. Helen later worked for Lucent Technologies for 10 years until her retirement. She was a member of the Telephone Pioneers at Lucent. According to her family she enjoyed her Irish Heritage, Traveling to Ireland, Loved the Beach and going to lunch with friends from childhood and her work friends. Helen also enjoyed the Boston Sports teams, the Red Sox, Bruins, Patriots and Celtics. Her special love was spending time with her family; her children, her grandchildren, her great grandchildren, her sisters and brothers, and nieces and nephews.

Great Grandchildren: Kyle, Nevaeh, Sophia, John, Michael, Guiliana, as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to call on Monday, August 20th, 2012 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the John Breen Memorial Funeral Home, Inc., 122 Amesbury Street, Lawrence, Massachusetts.
