Maria R. (Candido) Dos Santos passed away May 16, 2004, in her home at 172 Rivet St. in New Bedford. She was the husband of the late Leonel Dos Santos, who passed away July 23, 1977. She was the beloved mother of Louis Dos Santos of Fairhaven, Maria Teresa Dos Santos of New Bedford, and Secelia Marie Santos of New Bedford. Mrs. Santos was the loved grandmother of Eric D. Santos. Mrs. Dos Santos also had two sisters whom live Portugal.
Mrs. Dos Santos was born in Alvorninha, Portugal, daughter of the late Joaquim and Olinda(Rosa) Candido. She worked as a Floor Lady at Pawtucket Clothing.
The funeral Mass will be Wednesday May 19, 2004 @ Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church @ 12:00pm. Friends and Family are invited. Burial will be at St. John’s Cemetery in New Bedford. Visiting hours will be Tuesday, May 18, 2004 from 2-4 & 7-9 P.M.
