William E. Buchyn, Jr., 85, of Worcester passed away Tuesday, August 14, 2012 with his loving family by his side. His loving wife of 65 years, Shirley M. Buchyn passed away in April of 2011. Bill leaves his daughter, Alice Stone, his daughter, Charlene Buchyn and his daughter, Tami L. and her husband, Mark J. Mohamed; eight grandchildren; six great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. He also leaves close friends Pat and Jim Fay and a special thank you to Gerry Marengo for all his help to the family.
He was born in Worcester. His parents, William E. Buchyn, Sr. and Harriet (Lee) Buchyn; his brother, Edward Buchyn; his sisters, Barbara Hagy, Betty Ballard and Madeline Stepsis all predeceased him.
Bill served is the United States Navy. He was a cab driver for over 27 years and worked as a computer operator until his retirement at All Season Services for over 30 years. Bill was an avid fan of the Red Sox, Nascar and the Patriots. He taught ballroom dancing and belonged to Bay Path Barn square dance club with his wife for many years.
