James A. Campbell, 62, of Merrimack, NH and formerly of Milford, NH, died Sunday, August 12th at Community Hospice House, Merrimack, NH.
James was born Feb. 14, 1950 in Stoneham, MA to Arthur and Alice (LeBlanc) Campbell. He grew up in Salem, NH and graduated from Salem High School, Class of 1967. He worked for many years in the automotive industry. He was employed by the City of Nashua Highway Dept. from 1982 until he retired in 2008. James was a lifelong horse lover. During his life, he owned, trained, and raced several harness horses. He was a member of the New England Harness Horse Assoc., the US Trotting Assoc., and the HBPA.
He was predeceased by his father, Arthur Campbell and his brother-in-law, James Gaudet.
James is survived by his son James Campbell, Jr. of St. Petersburg, FL

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday at 12 Noon at the Knights of Columbus (Gaythorne Hall), 462 Broadway, Methuen, MA.
