Mrs. Edith M. (Marguerite) Sabbag 92, a lifelong Franklin resident, died Sunday August 12, 2012 at the Medway Country Manor Nursing Home. She was the wife of the late Elias G. “Louis” Sabbag, who died in 1985.
Born in Franklin, Oct. 27, 1919 a daughter of the late Salvatore and Angelina (Faenza) Marguerite, she was raised and educated in Franklin. She retired from the former Corning Industries Co. in Medfield, where she worked as a production line assembler.
She was a lifetime communicant of St. Mary’s Church in Franklin and loved time spent with family, gardening and travel.
She is survived by 3 sons: Michael G. Sabbag and his companion Shirley of Omaha, Nebraska, Allen L. Sabbag and his wife Cindy of West Des Moines, Iowa, and Richard G. Sabbag and his wife Dede of Mill Valley, Calif., 2 sisters: Emma Young of Medway and Angelina Cook of Plainville, 8 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
She is also the sister of the late: Anthony, Louis, and Michael Marguerite, Alice Braga and Rose Davis.
Relative and friends are invited to attend her funeral Thursday at 2:15 PM from the Charles F. Oteri & Son Franklin Funeral Home 33 Cottage St. with a funeral Mass in St. Mary’s Church 1 Church SQ. Franklin at 3:00 PM. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery.
