Mary Lee Burkett Daniel, age 93, of Douglas, GA passed away at Coffee Regional Medical Center on Saturday, August 11, 2012, after an extended illness. She was born on April 4, 1919 to the late William Noah Burkett and Mattie Clifford Fortune Burkett. She is the widow of the late Carl Gordan Daniel.
She is suvived by One son: Danny (Mary) Daniel and One Daughter: Darlene (Leon) Roberts; both of Douglas, Ga.; One Brother: Noah Clifford "Bunnie" Burkett of Dublin, GA. Six Grandchildren: Brian Daniel, Scott Daniel, Catherine Brigmond, Megan L. Daniel, Stephen Alleag, and Fritz Alletag. Three Step-grandchildren: Jerome Roberts, Marsha Roepe, and Morgan Hewitt. Fifteen great grand children and three great great grandchildren.
Visitation will be Monday,August 13, 2012 from 6 to 9 PM at Sims Funeral Home.
Funeral Service for Mrs. Mary Lee Burkett Daniel will be Tuesday, August 14, 2012 at 11:00 AM at First Baptist Church, in Douglas, Ga. Interment will follow in Douglas City Cemetery.
