WORCESTER-James E. Walles, Jr., 67, of Worcester passed away, Sunday, May 16th in his home with his family by his side. James is survived by his wife of 42 years, Jeanne M. (Bourbon) Walles, 4 sons, Terrence R., Thomas C. and Todd J. Walles all of Worcester and Timothy M. Walles of East Brookfield, a daughter, Tracey R. Walles-Gagnon of Worcester, 2 brothers, Robert Walles of Stoneham and William Walles of Woburn, 10 grandchildren, Brittany, Jessica, Jacquelyn, Chantal, Seth, Tanner, Julia, Mackenzie, Taryn and Wyatt, several nephews and nieces.

He was born in Boston the son of James E. and Evelyn D. (Lyons) Walles, Sr.. He graduated from Charlestown High School, attended U Mass, Amherst and was a graduate of Ward School of Business and WPI School of Industrial Management. Mr. Walles was corporate director of safety for Nypro Corporation for 24 years, retiring in 1995. At one time he played professional baseball for the Brooklyn Dodgers and St. Louis Cardinals organizations. He was a member of Christ the King Church, the Clinton Chamber of Commerce and Massachusetts Safety Council. James was the proud recipient of the Who’s Who Award given by the environmental registry.

The funeral is Wednesday, May 19th from O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue with a Mass at 10:00 AM in Christ the King Church, 1052 Pleasant Street. Burial is in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling hours are Tuesday, May 18th from 5:00 until 8:00 PM in the funeral home.
