Hazel Ross White Cade, age 96, passed away at the home of her sister in Horn Lake, MS on August 8, 2012. Born in Calhoun County, MS in 1916 to the late Bee and Birdie Dickey White, she worked until retirement at Big Yank in Water Valley and was a devoted member of Mt. Liberty Baptist Church. Hazel sewed, quilted, and embroidered and enjoyed cooking delicious meals for her friends and church family.
Visitation is planned for Friday, August 10, 2012 from 5 until 7 PM at Seven Oaks Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Saturday, August 11, 2012 at 11 AM in the Henry Chapel of Seven Oaks with Bro. Charles Keel officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery with deacons and ushers from Mt. Liberty Church serving as pallbearers.
Hazel is survived by four sisters, Willie Mae Dowdy, Bessie Turner, and Julia White, all from horn Lake, MS, and Shirley Moore (Tommy) of Monroe, LA.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, J. T. Cade and her only son, William Cade, one sister, Thelma Dunn, and three brothers, Bud White, Lig White, and Sonny White.
