Rocco A. “Rocky” Salamone, of Stoneham and Kentucky formerly of East Boston, passed away on Saturday, May 15, 2004 at Winchester Hospital in Winchester. He was 85 years of age.
Born in Boston, Rocky was a longtime resident of East Boston. Rocky was a loving and caring son, husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother and friend. He will be missed by all.
Rocky was the beloved husband of the late Josephine (D’Errico) Salamone. He was the devoted father of Josephine Lacorazza and her husband Frank of Kentucky and Marie Caiazzo and her husband Peter of Stoneham. Rocky was the cherished grandfather of Marie-Elaina Jessee and her husband Craig, Michael Lacorazza and his wife Marina, Joseph Caiazzo and Christina Caiazzo. He was the loving great grandfather of Janelle, Craig and Justin Jessee. Rocky was the dear brother of Biagio Salamone of East Boston, Libby Salamone of Tewksbury and the late Benedetto Salamone.
Funeral from the Barile Family Home 482 Main St. (RT 28) STONEHAM Wednesday at 9am followed by a Funeral Mass celebrated in St. Patrick’s Church 71 Central St. Stoneham at 10am. Family and friends are kindly invited to attend visiting hours Tuesday 4-9pm. Parking attendants will be on duty. Interment Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.
