TEWKSBURY – Maria Luisa DaCosta, age 60, died Monday evening, August 6, at the Blairehouse of Tewksbury, following a lengthy illness. She was the beloved wife of Manuel DaCosta, with whom she had celebrated a 38th wedding anniversary this past February 2nd.
She was born in Maia, Sao Miguel, Azores, on September 5, 1951, a daughter of the late Andre and Maria (DoCarmo) Pacheco.
She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother.
Besides her beloved husband, she leaves a dedicated daughter, Marlene Lozada and her husband Pedro of Tewksbury; her son Luis DaCosta of Haverhill, another daughter, Dianne DaCosta of Everett; seven grandchildren; a beloved sister-in-law, Gabrielle Wallace of Worcester; a sister, Lucia Pacheco of the Azores; three brothers, Jose Pacheco of Cambridge, Joao Pacheco of Arlington, Agostinho Pacheco of Medford; and many nieces and nephews.
Her Funeral Service was be held Friday morning, August 10, in the Funeral Home followed by burial in Tewksbury Cemetery.
