Dannette Sawyer, 57, of Tifton, died Tuesday, August 7, 2012, at Tift Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 9, 2012, at Pineview Holiness Baptist Church. Rev. Silas Carver and Rev. Tony Walker will officiate with burial to follow in Pineview Holiness Baptist Church Cemetery. Larry McBrayer, Troy McBrayer, Robbie McBrayer, Shane McBrayer, Tim Boutwell and Willie Dillard will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, August 8, 2012, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Miss Sawyer was born on July 6, 1955 in Dublin and was the daughter of Charlie William Sawyer and Dorothy Frances McDaniel Sawyer, both deceased. She was formerly a welder at Atlas Greenhouse and managed the recycling site in Chula for many years. She was a member of Pineview Holiness Baptist Church and loved fishing and working in flower beds.
Miss Sawyer is survived by five brothers, Billy Sawyer, Jr. of Abbeville, Charles Wendell Sawyer of Hinesville, Vernon Eugene Sawyer of Leesburg, Danny Sawyer of Cullman, Alabama, and Henry Lee Sawyer of Dublin; two sisters, Mary Joyce Johnson of Sumner, and Jennell Jene Youmans of Cullman, Alabama; and a special friend, Beth McBrayer of Tifton.
