Peabody: Doris A. (Theriault) Beauregard, age 88 of Peabody and formerly of Salem, died Friday, August 3, 2012 at the Renaissance Gardens at Brooksby Village in Peabody, following a long illness. She was the devoted wife of George A. Beauregard.
Born and raised in Salem, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Eva (Madore) Theriault. During the war years, Doris worked for Sylvania and later worked in furniture sales for the former Almy’s Department Store. She was a Deputy Auditor for the City of Salem for a number of years until her retirement in 1988.
Doris liked traveling and square dancing. Married to George in 1947, the role she loved best of all was being a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by 2 sons, Peter R. Beauregard and his wife Peggy of Dover, NH, John E. Beauregard and his wife Jo-Ann of Nashua, NH, a daughter-in-law, Terry Beauregard of New Orleans, a brother, Henry Theriault of Arizona, 2 sisters, Yvette Ouellette of Salem and Joan Duffy of Weston. She is also survived by 5 grandchildren, Christina Beauregard, Nicole Paget and her husband Michael, Peter D. Beauregard and his wife Amy, Josh Beauregard and his wife Justine, Zak Beauregard, 4 great-grandchildren, Gavin & Alec Beauregard and Elizabeth & Caroline Paget as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son Donald and grandson Jeffrey Beauregard, and her brothers, Rev. Roger Theriault, OP and Clement Theriault.
Relatives and friends are invited to her memorial mass on Saturday, August 18, 2012 at 11:00 A.M in the Chapel at Brooksby Village, McIntosh Building, Peabody, MA. Burial will be private.
