Obituary

Jessica Leah (Arnold) Olson, formerly of Ashland, of Clarksville, Tennessee, died unexpectedly on Thursday July 19, 2012 in Vanderbilt University Hospital in Nashville. She was 29.

Born on November 13, 1982 Newton, Jessica was raised and educated in Ashland graduating from Ashland High School in 2000. Always outgoing, friendly and anxious to help, she made many friends in Ashland, Holliston and wherever she went. Jess was an avid equestrian, loved playing softball and simply loved life.

Jess built a successful career in the banking industry and greeted all her colleagues and customers with a smile and positive words. She was employed by the Navy Federal Credit Union as a Branch Manager in Fort Campbell located in Oak Grove, KY. Jessica was a highly motivated and respected leader, with a sincere passion for caring for the customers. She was very proud of her accomplishments, which included receiving the Richard Cobb Award for Excellence in Member Service in 2010, and being the first branch to sign up 10,000 Army origin members. Jessica and her team were voted Favorite Banker and Favorite Credit Union by the Fort Campbell community in May 2012. On June 1, 2012, 41,000 participating Leaf Chronicle readers name Jess their "favorite banker."

She was the loving daughter of Rose Coleman of Ashland, MA and the late John Arnold. In addition to her mother, she is survived by the love of her life, her son Jace, her stepfather, Leonard Pollina and her husband, Bryan Olson of Clarksville, TN; her uncles, Jerry Coleman and his wife Ann of Lake View, NY, Jim Coleman and his wife Peggy of Milford, MA and many other loving family members including Debra Lorigo, Diane Amoia and Elaine Lotempio all of Buffalo, NY and Paula Chryssaidis of Florida. More than anything, Jess loved her son Jace and adored being his mother.

Family and friends will remember Jessica's life by gathering for calling hours at the John Everett & Sons Funeral Home, 4 Park Street, Natick on Wednesday from 5:00 -8:00 p.m. and again on Thursday at St. Cecilia Church, 54 Esty Street, Ashland at 9:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Wildwood Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donation in Jess' memory may be made to the Stevens Johnson Syndrome Foundation, PO Box 350333, Westminster, CO 80035 or do something to help someone in need as Jess would have done.
