Salem: Bertha L. (LeBlanc) Morin, age 91 of Salem, passed away peacefully at her home, Friday, August 3, 2012. She was the wife of the late Albert L. Morin.
Born and raised in Salem, she was the daughter of the late Omer and Dorilda (Deschamps) LeBlanc. She was employed by Unitrode from 1952 through 1965 when the company was based in Salem. Bertha was devoted to her family, friends and to her church. She loved being outside in her garden, and also enjoyed dancing and singing. A member of Ste. Anne Parish for many years, she was a Eucharistic Minister for Salem Hospital, and worked on the Concern Committee for bereaved families as well as the annual Christmas Bazaar. Bertha also formerly sang with the Ste. Anne Choir and the Salem Golden Tones.
She is survived by her son, Mark A. Morin and his wife Leanne, a daughter-in-law, Jean M. Morin of, a sister, Doris Boucher, a brother, Arthur ‘Hawk’ LeBlanc, 3 grandchildren, Michael Morin and his wife Melissa, Krista & Justine Morin, as well as 2 great-grandchildren, Michaela & Evelyn Morin. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Bertha was predeceased by her son Robert H. Morin, 4 sisters, Cecile Letarte, Grace Kapnis, Rita Sewards & Jeannette Erwin, 4 brothers, Henry, Rene, Albert & Jerry LeBlanc.
Relatives and friends are invited to her visiting hours on Wednesday, August 8, 2012 from 9:00 A.M/ to 10:30 A.M. at the Levesque Funeral Home, 163 Lafayette St. [Rt. 1-A / Rt. 114] Salem to be followed by her funeral mass in Ste. Anne Church, Salem at 11:00 A.M. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Salem. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Ste. Anne Parish, 290 Jefferson Ave., Salem, MA 01970.
