Obituary

Henry D. “Hank” Pahl, III, 53, a twenty-year resident of Woburn, formerly of Belmont, passed away Aug. 4, 2012 after a short illness. He was the beloved husband of Jean L.Valk. Born in Cambridge, Hank was the son of Henry D. Pahl, Jr. and the late Barbara (Ratcliffe) of Marblehead. A graduate of Ripon College in Wisconsin, Mr. Pahl worked in the computer networking field for many years. In his spare time, he loved reading, and enjoyed watching Sci-Fi TV (Dr. Who, Buffy), collecting old woodworking tools, and tinkering with computers. Known for his wonderful sense of humor, Hank will also be remembered as a great storyteller. In addition to his wife and father, Mr. Pahl is survived by a daughter, Caroline H. Pahl of Woburn. He also leaves two siblings: Geoffery Pahl of Lowell and Jennifer Pahl of Acton. A Memorial Service will be held on Fri., Aug. 10 @ 4PM in the Costello Funeral Home, 177 Washington St., Winchester. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Interment is private. In lieu of flowers, donations in Hank’s memory may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701.
