Natalie M. (Harris) Spina of Plymouth, formerly of Hingham, died suddenly at home on August 1st at the age of 80. Beloved wife of the late Joseph Spina, she is survived by her children: Wendy James and her husband Paul of Wilmington, VT; Leslie Canterbury and her husband Russell of New Hartford, CT, and Paul H. Spina and his wife Ellen of Bridgewater. She also leaves 7 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. She was the daughter of the late Gilbert M. and Mildred (Davenport) Harris, and sister of the late Alan Harris, all of Waltham.
Natalie was born in Boston and graduated from Waltham High School in 1950. She received her Bachelor’s degree in economics from Tufts University in 1954. She lived in Hingham for 23 years before moving to Plymouth 12 years ago. She worked in the Plimoth Plantation gift shop for over 10 years. Natalie developed a talent for painting beach rocks with New England scenes in her later years, which were sold at Plimoth Plantation and the Pilgrim Hall Museum, as well as other local shops. Her greatest joy, however, was spending time with her family.
