Frank E. Morse passed away at his home, surrounded by his family, on July 30, 2012. Born on October 6, 1926, Frank was raised in North Quincy, MA. He enjoyed summers on his grandmother's farm in Alna, Me. A member of the Greatest Generation, Frank left home at seventeen to serve his country as a member of the U.S. Merchant Marine during World War II. His travels took him through the North Atlantic, Panama Canal, and South America. Upon his return home, Frank earned a bachelors degree in Business from Northeastern University. While attending Northeastern, Frank had a chance meeting at the train station with an acquaintance from junior high, Louise A. Pennington, both having missed their commuting connections. Together for over fifty years, until her death, Louise was the love of his life, mother of his three children, and a business partner at Morse's Auto Radiator, Inc.
Settling in Squantum, MA., Frank was devoted to his family and a respected businessman, stating that he and Louise valued “the three L's ' – love, loyalty, and labor. His children and grandchildren also remember a great deal of fun, as Frank shared his interests in boating, skiing, traveling, iceboating, and fishing. After over thirty years as a principal at Morse's Radiator, Frank retired to Falmouth, MA, where he and Louise enjoyed their friends, family, and many days on the waters of Nantucket Sound. In recent years, Frank relocated to Andover, and finally Brooksby Village in Peabody.
Frank leaves a loving and vibrant family, his sons Frank, Jr and his wife Carol of Andover, MA., Arthur and his wife Alison of Lansdale, PA., as well as daughter Kim and her husband Bruce Round of North Andover, MA. In addition to his three children, he is adored and remembered by his grandchildren, Christopher and Jeffrey Round of North Andover, MA., William and Rebecca Morse of Andover, MA., and Ryan, Katelyn, and Shawna Morse of Lansdale, PA. Frank leaves many nieces, nephews, as well as his companion in recent years, Yvonne Talbot. He joins his wife Louise A. (Pennington) Morse, brothers Ralph and Earl Morse, parents Esther and Chester Morse, and triplet infant grand daughters, Katie, Christina, and Angela Morse.
His funeral service was celebrated in the First Calvary Baptist Church, 586 Massachusetts Avenue, North Andover, Saturday, August 4, 2012, at 10 AM. Calling hours were held in the Burke-Magliozzi Funeral Home, 390 North Main Street, Andover, Friday, August 3, 2012 from 4 to 7 PM. Burial was in Spring Grove Cemetery in Andover.
