Sandra H. (Sullivan) Cathcart, 61, of New Bedford died Thursday May 13, 2004 at home surrounded by her family after a courageous battle with cancer. She was the wife of Bruce M. Cathcart.
Born in Middleboro, the daughter of Helen E. (Downey) Sullivan of Fairhaven and the late Arthur Sullivan, she had lived in Fairhaven and New Bedford for most of her life.
She was a communicant of St. Mary's Church.
Mrs. Cathcart was formerly employed as a medical secretary at Healthcare for Women for the past 12 years.
She was a graduate of New Bedford Vocational High School and was very active in her class reunion committee. She loved being with her grandchildren, and loved to travel.
Survivors include her husband; her mother; two sons, Gary John Cathcart of Albany, New York and Mark William Cathcart of Brockton; a daughter, Janine Priscilla Cathcart of New Bedford; a brother, James L. Sullivan of Fairhaven; two sisters, Catherine M. Martin of Middleboro and Laureen M. Ignacio of Boston; two grandchildren, Aaron Stauffer and Elizabeth Stauffer; and aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
