CONLEY David W. “Jake” age 85 of Franklin formerly of Boston, passed away at Medway Country Manor in Medway. He was a true gentleman and one of the Greatest Generation, serving as a Seaman First Class on the LST 508 in the US Navy in Europe during WW II. He retired as a civil engineer for the State of Massachusetts before enjoying his retired life with his family. He was the beloved husband of the late Helen M. (Kennedy) and son of the late Edward and Mary (McNally) Conley of Providence, RI. David was the father of Kenneth and David Conley and Jennifer Conley-Crummet. Grandfather of Jesse, David and Richard Conley as well as Molly and Maisie Crummet. Proud great-grandpapa to Gavin, Logan and Lily Conley. David was one of 12 siblings - the late Mary, Edward “Sonny”, Elizabeth, Leo, William and Carol, already for his arrival in Heaven and Joseph, Claire, Robert, Richard and John all sharing in his loss on Earth. Last but not least he was the “grandpa” to Bueller, Petey and Jonesy (deceased) and the larger than life, Seamus, who misses him, like the rest of us, dearly. Funeral from the William J. Gormley Funeral Home 2055 Centre St. WEST ROXBURY, Friday, August 3rd. at 9am. followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Theresa Church at 10 o’clock. Visiting hours Thursday 4-8pm.
