Fall River – Joseph E. Carvalho, 80, of Gifford Road, Westport died Wednesday, May 12, 2004 at Sarah Brayton Nursing Care Center after a long illness.
Mr. Carvalho was born in Somerset, the son of the late Joseph A. and Beatrice (Graham) Carvalho, and had resided in Westport for over 50 years. Prior to his retirement he was a machine operator for Quaker Fabric Company in Fall River.
He is survived by 2 sons: Joseph E. Carvalho of Fall River and Edward J. Carvalho of Fall River; 2 sisters: Norma Costa of Westport and Judith Milton of Homestead, Florida; 3 grandchildren: Craig Carvalho, Mark Carvalho and Joanne Carvalho; 4 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was the brother of the late Beatrice Watts.
Funeral to which relatives and friends are invited will be from the POTTER FUNERAL HOME, 81 Reed Road, Westport, Saturday, May 15, 2004 at 8:00 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. John the Baptist Church, Westport at 9:00 A.M.
Calling hours Friday 5 – 8 P.M.
Interment in Beech Grove Cemetery, Westport.
