
Mr. Robert Patten, 75 of Medford died on Saturday in the Sawtelle House in Reading following a lengthy illness. He is husband of Phyllis (Nelson) Patten with whom he shared more than 42 years of marriage. Born in Medford, he remained a lifelong resident. Mr. Patten was a graduate of Malden Catholic High School, class of 1955. He continued his education and became a journeyman Electrician. During his career he worked on many jobs. He worked as an electrician for the M.B.T.A. and was a proud member of I.B.E.W Local #103. He is a former member of the Elks. Mr. Patten was a devout Catholic and regular communicant of St. Joseph Church of Medford. He was active in the parish and often volunteered his expertise in restoration and repair of church property. The loss of his presence will be deeply felt by his extended church family. In addition to his wife, he is the beloved father of Robert Patten III and his wife Diane of Billerica, Cynthia Cinquina of Stow, Kathryn Natsis and her husband Demo of Sterling, Rodd Patten and his wife Geraldine of China, Robyn Raymond and her husband William of Medford and Ross Patten of AZ. Loving grandfather of Bryon and Kristine Patten, Allyssa and Kaitlyn Cinquina, Jason and Ari Natsis, Hunter, Haylee and Hanna Raymond, Zander and Zavier Patten and great grandfather of David and Nathan Guarino. Dear brother of Judith Humphreys and her husband Thomas of Wakefield, Richard Patten of NH, Dennis Patten and his wife Carolan of Peabody, Stephen Patten and his wife Annemarie of Beverly and Godfather of Stephanie Querci of Andover.
Funeral from the Dello Russo Family Funeral Home, 306 Main St., MEDFORD on Thursday at 9 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Joseph Church, 118 High Street, Medford, at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Wednesday 4-8 pm. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
